HOW TO MAKE MONDAY BETTER

After a weekend away, I am always excited to get back and get in the swing of things.  I know they have a bad reputation, but Mondays are actually my favorite weekday because you get to start a new week with a clean slate.  After a big cup of coffee (or two) I always try to get in a workout early in the AM then catch up on e-mails, work and run errands.

We spent the weekend in Miami! (Beach pic here!) It rained a little, but the storms were actually really relaxing and peaceful.  It feels good to be back and unpacked, and I’m ready to start a new week.

Monday can be the most motivating day to get a fresh start:

1. Try waking up earlier: Since Mondays are often the busiest day, you will be glad if you set your alarm earlier to make more time for a workout or extra errands.

2. Be thankful: Take a moment on Monday morning to think about all of the amazing things going on in your life, how great the weekend was or how lucky you are to have a healthy body that can run.  It really helps to have a positive mindset.

3.Plan something to look forward to: Text a friend to grab dinner next weekend, book a pedicure or plan a trip.  Knowing you have a little something to look forward to can help get you back in work mode.

P.S. This off the shoulder top is a great piece to wear now with jeans and nude heels for dinner with friends.  I also think when the weather cools down I’ll swap the heels for booties or over the knee boots.

  1. I agree – waking up early is key! It seems from your snaps that you wake up super early, like 5 am! What is your nighttime routine and what time do you go to sleep to make sure you’re up by 5?
