WHAT WE DID IN LA OVER THE WEEKEND

Just got back from a weekend trip to Los Angeles and it was the best getaway!  We fit in so much in the 48 hours we were there and wanted to share a few of our favorite spots in case you have an LA trip coming up.  A lot has to do with eating, lol.

Friday when we got in, we had a date night at our all time favorite restaurant Il Pastaio.  (Ask for a table outside, it is worth the wait.)  Luke always gets the lasagna and I get the chopped salad.  So good!

Saturday we got up early and hit the ground running.  We started with breakfast at Urth Caffe on Melrose then walked around different shops there. Zimmermann and  Violet and Grey on Melrose are my favorite.  Before leaving that area, we stopped in The Alfred Tea Room.  (It is the cutest Instagram worthy pink tea shop!)

Finally, we visited the Lacma.  This is something we both wanted to do for so long, but never had the chance.  We walked around outside to see the famous “Urban light” and the “Levitated Mass” at the entrance.  It is really cool if you get a chance to go.

Next we went to The Beverly Hills Hotel for lunch by the pool.  My favorite thing here is the classic McCarthy’s salad.  Of course we had to watch the final 4 basket ball tournament that night, so we got groceries at Bristol Farms and cooked dinner.

Sunday Morning we went for a walk and had a spa at the Montage.  After, we had lunch on their rooftop patio.  Then, it was time to head back to Dallas!
