One question I’ve been getting a lot lately is advice on what to wear to a black tie wedding.

I always think it is best to size up in a gown and have it altered to fit you perfectly.  Go with a solid color (black is obvi my favorite) that is both flattering and versatile.  This way you can change up the accessories and re-wear the dress.

To start, I alwaysss wear these spanx with a long gown.  They just make everything look/feel better – love them.

2. Pleat One Shoulder Gown $295

This gorgeous one shoulder gown is so form fitting and elegant.  It comes in more colors here and here. I picture it with hair half up and big statement earrings.

3. Social Bridesmaids Strapless Georgette Gown $180

This flowing dress comes in 9 colors and works for so many body types.  I love the sweetheart neckline and think the fitted waist is super flattering.

The fold-over neckline and keyhole back on this classic dress make it look so high quality.

5. Dress the Population Eve Crepe Mermaid Gown $298

This structured dress is sophisticated and comes in black, blush, navy or burgundy.  This one has a sheer back so keep in mind that you wouldn’t be able to wear spanx. ????
