We just got home from Italy and the trip was absolutely amazing! We tried to visit several places – easy to do by taxi, train or boat. Here is my Lake Como travel guide of restaurants, where we stayed and fun things to do if you have a trip coming up!
Lake Como travel guide:
We rented the Villa Maria Taglioni in Blevio for our group and it was amazing! This is the view of the Villa from the water.
Hiking from Bruate to Torno. This was about a 2.5 hour hike with incredible views – I’m scared of heights and was definitely nervous/challenged during the first half but the path widened toward the end! It was a good way to conquer my fear and was really rewarding!
Breakfasts and dinners on the Villa balcony were so pretty.
We did a day trip to Lugano, Switzerland on the Trenitalia train since it was so close!
The view from the train station in Lugano. Loved having this small shoulder bag to keep my phone, passport, lip balm and money.
The Church of San Giovanni in Torno. The Sunday morning service was in Italian – so beautiful.
We rented a boat for the afternoon through Wake Board Lake Como – so much fun!
Dinner at Momi in Blevio – so good!
Lunch at Harry’s Bar – such a cute restaurant in Cernobbio.
Lunch at Villa D’este – such a beautiful hotel and garden!
This Tumi bag was a new purchase for the trip and I highly recommend it if you don’t like to check a bag – it expands to fit so much! (purses, shoes, toiletries, makeup, sweaters etc.) I also used this small Tumi converter to charge my phone and apple watch.
Celebrating my brother Kirby turing 40!
The Hydrofoil is a quick boat rid from Como to Bellagio with cute little shops and great restaurants!
