Holiday Date ideas in Dallas:
Book a Christmas light carriage ride through Highland Park Village
My family does a Highland Park Carriage ride every year with the significant others and the kids! We usually grab Starbucks before and dinner at Mi Cocina after! Such a fun holiday tradition that you can do with family, friends or just the two of you!
Shop for the Salvation Army Angel Tree together
One of our favorite ways to give back over the holiday season is the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program! Every year we like to pick out a few kids from the tree and shop together for a couple of their needs and wants at NorthPark Center – then return the gifts unwrapped by Dec 7.
Sign up for The BMW Dallas Race Weekend together
We are currently training for the BMW Dallas Marathon and it is such a healthy and productive way to spend time together! You can sign up here for the half, full 26.2, relay, 5k or 10k in December. We did the half together last year and it was really special to see all the holiday decorations in Dallas throughout the race!
Go to the Celebration of Lights at SMU
Celebration of lights is a fun lighting ceremony where SMU welcomes the school and community to the Dallas Hall lawn to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season! Grab a cup of hot cocoa and cider while admiring the thousands of lights on campus on November 26th at 7PM.
Have a special gift exchange
Make a reservation at one of your favorite Dallas Restaurants, get all dressed up and after exchange gifts just the two of you.
Visit the Dallas Arboretum Christmas special
The Dallas Arboretum has a fun “12 days of Christmas” nativity exhibit you can walk through. Grab a Starbucks on the way!
Luke was wanting to get a few new every day basics for the season so we picked out this cool rain coat, this classic blazer and these jeans from our favorite – Nordstrom!
This “car coat” would be a great gift idea for the guys!
Love the flattering ruched detail on this turtleneck dress! This dress is so comfortable (feels like a soft t-shirt material) and looks great with opaque black tights and boots for different holiday occasions! Both of these outfits would also be great for a Christmas card photo!
These Stuart Weitzman boots go with everything and they are surprisingly VERY comfortable – I’ve been pairing them with both jeans and dresses. Found a really good similar for less option here.
I wear these high rise opaque spanx tights with everything I can lol. They are so comfortable under dresses and skirts, a must have from Nordstrom for Winter!
