I always love doing the turkey trot with Luke on Thanksgiving morning! It is a fun way to get together with friends + family and get moving before a long day of lounging and eating!
Host a Thanksgiving dinner party
This year we are hosting a few small get togethers at our house and are really looking forward to it!
Book a carriage ride
We are waiting until December to actually go on the ride, but it is always good to book ahead of time before they get sold out!
Get a head start on gifts
Getting Christmas shopping done early is the best way to have a more relaxing December. There are also so many good Black Friday / Cyber week sales coming up so that is always a good time to stock up!
Clean out your closet
Keeping a minimal closet makes things so much simpler and easier. Now is a great time to take inventory of what you need and to sell / donate the things that can go. Here is a blog post on why I only wear neutrals.
Remember to be grateful
November and December can always bring unnecessary stress with all of the extra errands and holiday plans. It is always a good reminder that this time of year is about giving thanks for what you have, staying strong in faith and celebrating with family and friends.
Give Back
Finding a way to give back is the most rewarding. A few ways that we like to are The Salvation Army Angel Tree program where you can Christmas shop for children based on their wish list. Another great way is donating time to the local food bank.
