Here are a few helpful tips to stay fit through the holidays, a new workout outfit and a lululemon gift guide!
Be acitve in the morning
Getting in a walk or workout class first thing starts the day on a healthy note. Try to get your fitness in first thing in the morning so that other obligations don’t get in the way. A walk with a friend or with your man is a great way to catch up while moving.
Start the day with a healthy breakfast
Having a healthy breakfast helps keep me full until lunch and makes me want to eat well throughout the day. My go-to breakfasts are oatmeal with peanut butter and fruit or a smoothie.
Make healthy swaps
Order a sparkling water with ice and lime or a plane cranberry juice instead of a cocktail. If your holiday weakness is pretzels or cookies, try popcorn or dark chocolate. Instead of cookies have a piece of dark chocolate! Have spaghetti squash instead of mac n’ cheese, a baked sweet potato with cinnamon and salt instead of mashed potatoes.
Be sure to stay hydrated throughout the day by always keeping a water bottle with you.
Wear workout clothes you feel confident in
New workout clothes that you feel good in definitely helps motivate. I recently got these copper leggings and am excited to put them on in the morning because they are so fun! This long puffer jacket keeps me warm so I’m not tempted to miss a walk because it is cold.
