For our wedding invitation we wanted something simple and classic.
We used Bell Invito for the cards and Tara Jones for Calligraphy. Tara did beautiful hand painted calligraphy for our invitation, reply card, save the date, table assignments, place cards and programs.
For the Wedding invitation wording, we kept it very traditional. I really liked that we could simply put ‘at home’ for the location. On a separate card we included more details – the address, dinner and dancing, our wedding website and black tie for the attire.
We chose 6PM for the time because we wanted to have as long as possible to dance after dinner! We also needed good light after the ceremony for photos since we did not have a first look before.
For the liner on our Wedding invitation envelope we used a photo of the lace from my dress! It is a really special and unique detail.
We did a 5.75 x 8.75 inch 4 ply card with a beveled edge in Champagne.
Our rings are by William Noble. My engagement ring is a platinum band with an emerald and baguettes on each side. I absolutely love how classic it is! My wedding band is a cushion cut eternity ring. Luke chose a timeless masculine gold band for his wedding ring.
I absolutely loved my wedding shoes! I chose the Jimmy Choo Santina 125 sandals because a friend recommended them to me – they are very high and pretty with a block heel for stability!! For investment shoes, Jimmy Choo is always the most comfortable in my opinion. After dinner I changed into easy to wear wedges so that I could dance all night and not be barefoot or in flats. We also set a basket of white sandals out for the girls to dance in – a small detail that I always appreciate at weddings!
For table assignments we used small mirrors with calligraphed names hanging on a garden wall.
For place cards, Tara calligraphed names at the top of the menu. I thought this was a fun modern touch!
