Here is a list of our most used essentials if you are working on a baby registry or want to know the newborn items up to 1 year that we have loved!
Baby registry list and favorite baby products!
Car seat / stroller:
Doona car seat: This compact car seat conveniently pops into a stroller so that you don’t have to carry around a heavy car seat or switch to a stroller while running errands. This car seat only lasts for up to 35lbs or 32 inches. (around the first year)
Nuna Rava: Now that Lake is bigger we are using the Nuna Rava car seat. I chose this one because several of my friends recommended! This works up to 65 lbs or up to 49 inches.
Joolz Geo 2 stroller – This quality walking stroller comes with the bassinet and seat so that baby can grow into it! We love this stroller for our morning walks. We got these cup holders that clip on.
Urban Glide 2 jogging stroller – If you are a runner or are going for longer walks we love this Thule stroller! We didn’t use it until Lake fit the size requirements (around 6 months) but now it is our absolute favorite! It is so easy to maneuver and we love it for running as well! 🙂
Stroller Fan – This stroller fan is perfect to keep her cool on warm Summer days.
Stroller Pillow – We used this when Lake still fit in the bassinet.
Baby Bjorn Carrier – This is an item we received from our baby registry that I highly recommend! Lake loves sitting close in the easy to clip on baby carrier! She snuggles in and falls right to sleep. It is really easy to take on and off and it doesn’t hurt my back on walks or hikes. I also put her in it to wear around the house so that I can be hands free while holding her. If she is fussy this always calms her down!
Car Mirror – Love having this mirror so that I can see her little face while driving.
Feeding:
Como Tomo bottles – Switched to this brand at 4 months for the 8oz bottles because they are easier to clean and added these little handles.
Oxo Straw cups – These are great for transitioning from bottle / sippy to straw cups.
Changing:
Pampers swaddlers – I like the consistency of these diapers and they have a wet indicator line. I go up a size for over night.
Changing pad liners – These are easy to put down over the changing pad so that you don’t have to wash it as often.
Erbaviva Baby Butter – I love this brand for all baby and mama products!

Motorola baby monitor + Crib attachment
Frida Baby humidifier with diffuser and nightlight
White noise sound machine – My sister recommended this sound machine! She used it for all of her babies and you can always keep it on in their room.
Play:
Baby Care Reversible Happy Cloud playmat – We love this extra large play mat! It can be rolled up (similar to a yoga mat) but is perfect when they start moving around more!
Books – Somebunny Loves You, Jesus Calling Little book of prayers and When God Made You are our favorites!
Baby Bjorn bouncer – This chair is great to travel from room to room in. We always put her in it while cooking / eating dinner and she loves it.
Nook playmat – This soft mat is perfect for tummy time!
Black and white baby books – These cute little newborn and up books help stimulate during play time!
Pottery barn activity gym play mat – Lake absolutely loves looking at all of the stuffed animals hanging from this play gym! All of the other play gyms I found were neon colors, we like that this one blends in well with our living room / isn’t an eye sore.
Jolly jumper– This play jumper is a fun activity to get energy out!
Little Giraffe rattle – This soft wrist rattle is Lake’s favorite! I love that it can be machine washed.
Sophie the Giraffe teething toy – Lake loves this little teether.
Teething keys – These can be cooled in the fridge.
