This week I’m out running last minute holiday errands and getting ready for a few Christmas parties as I’m sure you are as well! Here are a few simple ways to stay calm and keep things organized…
Nordstrom Coat (runs big – wearing size x small) // 7 for all mankind jeans (runs big – order one size down) // Joie boots (sold out – similar over the knee boots) // similar turtleneck // Louis Vuitton pochette metis
MAKE TO DO LISTS IN THE NOTES APP ON YOU PHONE
I try to make lists on my iPhone in the notes app for each category of what I need to do. (Otherwise my A.D.D. kicks in and I completely forget why I pulled up to C.V.S.) Then it is right on your phone, always with you, easy to edit and you don’t have to worry about loosing a piece of paper in the bottom of your purse.
So easy and organized!
UTILIZE STORE SERVICES LIKE NORDSTROM CURBSIDE PICKUP
Take full advantage of services like the Nordstrom curbside pickup feature at Northpark. Just set your location, check out online, roll up to the store, and they can walk it out to your car. You can also order online and pickup in the store if you are already in the mall. I just got this tan coat and a few gifts for friends.
Both are huge time savers when dealing with parking and lines!
SCHEDULE IN TIME FOR YOUR HEALTH EVERY DAY
This time of year can get so busy that we forget to take care of ourselves. If you can, take a 30 minute epsom salt bath or schedule in a workout every day. Maybe you can double up and meet a friend or family member for a walk or pilates class so that you can also get in some social one on one time.
The workout will also help with energy and nerves.
DON’T FORGET TO EAT RIGHT
Even though it is a busy time, make sure you aren’t skipping any meals or just filling up on holiday treats. I try to eat something four times a day even if it is just grabbing a protein bar or smoothie on the go. If I’m heading to a party where I know they will only have junk food, I’ll eat dinner beforehand or have some dark chocolate so I don’t crave all of the bad stuff when I get there. It is so important to keep your body running on good nutrients especially when you are stressed.
Grab something healthy every few hours.
TAKE TIME TO HELP OTHERS
Giving to others over the holidays can remind you how extremely fortunate you are! It feels so good to do things for people without expecting anything in return.
