Holiday Bucket List 2018
Get a real Christmas tree and decorate with colored lights
Monday we picked out a real Christmas tree, loaded it in the truck, mounted it to the stand, and decorated in colored lights! It was such a fun date night!
Adopt an angel in the Salvation Army program
One of our favorite ways to give back over the holiday season is the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program! Every year we like to pick out a few kids from the tree and shop together for a couple of their needs and wants – then return the gifts unwrapped by Dec 7.
Visit New York City
We just booked a holiday weekend in New York City, a tradition Luke and I have done every year together before Christmas!
Run in Central park
If you are a runner, Central Park is one of the most magical routes during the holidays. Central Park has a 6 mile loop that is perfect. You pass the ice rink, carriage rides and get motivated next to other runners!
Watch Favorite holiday movies
Elf, Four Christmases, The Holiday, Love Actually and Hallmark movies are my favorites!
Make a wreath
On Monday I got to make a wreath and it was such a fun project I would love to start doing every year!
Get Starbucks and look at holiday lights
Starbucks in Highland Park Village has the most beautiful lights and we like to drive around the neighborhood after to look at all of the amazing decorations!
Finish Christmas shopping before the 20th
Most of my shopping is done online which makes it easy, but I would love to be done shopping, wrapping and all before December 20th so I can relax and enjoy the weekend before Christmas!
Get girlfriends together for a holiday lunch
A few of my best girlfriends are getting together for Lunch at Grange Hall a week before Christmas! Can’t wait!
See the new Grinch movie
We saw the new Grinch movie at Cinepolis last Friday and it is so cute!
Run the Dallas Marathon on December 9th
This Sunday I’m going for the full Dallas Marathon! I loved the half marathon last year because you get to run by so many fun Dallas holiday decorations! You can sign up here for the half, full 26.2, relay, 5k or 10k in December.
Donate Clothes
This is a great time of year to donate gently used clothes and running shoes to a local shelter and clean out the closet.
Try a popup holiday restaurant
On my list this year is Deck the Hall Street coffee in Dallas and have reservations at Serra by Birreria in NYC!
