Fall workout schedule

In the Fall I like to change things up a bit with my routine. Having a workout schedule really helps keep me on track. Here is my Fall workout schedule!

2019 Fall workout schedule:

Monday: Lift weights at Vive gym or Peloton bike

Tuesday: Run 3-5 miles

Wednesday: Run 5-6 miles or lift weights at Vive gym

Thursday: Run 3-5 miles or Peloton bike

Friday: Rest day or Yoga class at WeYogis

Saturday: Long run 6-13 miles

Sunday: Rest day, short run, walk with a friend or Peloton bike

If there is a day I’m really sore or just not feeling a difficult workout, I rest or walk! Incorporating weight training, biking and Yoga has really helped with my running strength.

This time of year, I like to slowly incorporate more distance running since the weather is cooler. I much prefer to run in freezing cold than in the Texas heat. The Lululemon Fast & Free tights are my favorite leggings for running. I love the lightweight material and the side pocket for my phone/keys. These are the leggings I have worn for full and half marathons and I rotate several pairs.

The Adidas sneakers I’m wearing here are more of a walking / errands shoe – I personally don’t recommend them for running.

One question I do get asked a lot is what shoes I wear for long runs – these black Asics are my current favorite! (I’m a neutral runner.) I recommend ordering a full size up and wearing them with these running socks.

Something that helps me is thinking “I get to workout!” and not “I have to do this!” I try to be grateful for a healthy body and keep things moving instead of working out to look good.

This zip up jacket is a great cozy piece. I love all of the pockets and the soft fleece material. If you read my life update blog post you might have seen that this jacket is one of Luke’s favorite things in my closet! He loves when I wear it – might have to get it in black as well! 🙂
