The most requested blog post lately has been for a wedding planning update so I wanted to share a few of the details we have done so far!
The first step was coming up with a theme for the wedding. We met with our planners at Diamond Affairs and Todd Events to decide on all neutral colors. It was really helpful to use Pinterest for inspiration and to communicate to them what we had in mind. Our key flowers are going to be cherry blossoms and peonies and our table settings have a mix of rustic and chic elements.
It is always fun to have personalized pieces to go along with all of the Wedding celebrations! We got custom plastic party cups made from Mark and Graham with our new address, our wedding date and also some for our Bachelor and Bachelorette parties! I also picked some pretty letterpress cocktail napkins with our names and wedding date.
We had our first wedding shower over the weekend and the hostess had napkins made that said Krystal and Luke. It was such a special touch and she gave us the leftovers to use in our new home!
Since the guys aren’t usually into decorating, I ordered Luke these manly can coolers for his trip to Cabo next week. One side says Cabo and the other says #Luke’sbachelorparty.
These cups are perfect for the boys fishing / boat day!
The girls are going to L.A. next week, so we got fun cups made that say Krystal’s Bachelorette Los Angeles.
This Ultimate Bride gift box is a thoughtful gift idea from Mark and Graham’s The Monogram Wedding Shop™. The bride-to-be box includes a personalized white sash with a vintage brooch, a “bride” glass and a pretty wire hanger with the bride’s future last name.
The hanger is perfect for taking a special dress picture on the wedding day! I am so excited to have my first dress fitting next week – it was actually the first one I tried on!
Another thoughtful gift idea for a bride-to-be and bridesmaids is a monogrammed robe for getting ready on the wedding day.
Next on our list is to choose the menu, pick the cake, get the invitations out, finalize the place settings and do the seating. Stay tuned for more updates!
